A COMMEDIA DELL´ARTE SHOW AKA GABRIELLIANA FOR TWO

Mari & Crupi Theatre Company present the Australian premier of “Gabrielliana for Two”, a Commedia dell´Arte show like you’ve never seen before. Watch as only two actors perform this epic tale of warring kingdoms, star crossed lovers and a forest full of mythical creatures, based on the Pastorale – Boschereccia Commedia styles. By using improvisation as a method and scenic transparency as a technique, Mariana Dias and Andrew Crupi will switch dynamically between multiple characters. The stock characters Zanni (the Servants), Vecchi (the Old Men), Capitano (the Captain), Innamorati (the Lovers), but also Kings, Queens, Satyrs, Nymphs, Giants and even Amazones, they all come to life in this interactive, fun and family friendly show.
