469 years ago, in Padova, a group of actors signed a contract, creating a professional theater company. Mr.  Maphio (Ser Maphio) was the “capocomico”.
That contract is the oldest document we know of regarding a professional theater company.
2005: SAT was created :  It is an organization that promotes, coordinates, archives and organizes  anything  and everything that can keep our memory of this past alive. It has celebrated  “Commedia dell’arte International Day”  an hommage to those old colleagues  since February 2008.
