Synowie komedii: Goldoni i Molier
For fifteen years Kraków has been among the cities celebrating the international Commedia dell'Arte Day. The aim this event is to promote knowledge about the extraordinary theatrical phenomenon of commedia dell'arte.
The upcoming edition will be devoted to the great continuators of the comic tradition - Goldoni and Molière.
On this occasion, the program of the XVI Dni Komedii dell'Arte is twice as record-breaking in the history of previous celebrations. It covers the longest duration, from February 15 to March 5 (2025) and the widest scope of cooperation with other theaters.
It will be a real marathon of classic comedy!
The list of scheduled performances includes the following titles: "The Servant of Two Masters" by Goldoni, the latest premiere of Teatr Stu, directed by K. Jasi?ski, " The Imaginary Invalid" by Molière, directed by G. Pampiglione at Teatr im. J. S?owackiego and three titles in Teatr Groteska: Molière's "The Miser" directed by W. Nurkowski, "A Curious Mishap" by Goldoni of Teatr Lalki T?cza from S?upsk, directed by M. Spiazzi and honored with the Theater Award of Stanis?aw Wyspia?ski " The Bourgeois Gentleman" by Trupa Komedianty with the participation of Cracovia Danza Ballet.
The family show "Harlequin's Adventures" by Trupa Komedianty will help to introduce the young public to the world of comedy. Some performances will also be available in the mornings for schools.
Traditionally, the event will be accompanied by additional attractions - a thematic meeting "Goldoni on contemporary Polish stages" at the Italian Institute with the participation of invited directors, lessons of commedia dell’arte, workshops in music schools at vocal department completed with a concert and a vernissage of exhibition „Theater from a sketchbook” /Izabella Czarnecka's art works/
