Happy Commedia dell’Arte Day! On this day in 1545, Ser Maphio’s troupe signed a letter of incorporation in Padua, making them the first actors to register their company as a business. In Washington, DC Faction of Fools continues the practices of collaborating with actors in the creation of characters and stories that are exciting and relevant to local audiences.

Celebrate the birth of professional Commedia and professional theatre by watching “The Romantic Comedy Project”, a short behind-the-scenes documentary of our year-long collaborative playwrighting and mask design process which culminated in our 2023 production “Love Like Tuesday,” a 1990's themed Romantic Comedy!
