Ombelico Mask Ensemble and Haddonfield Memorial High School are exploring the intersection of Commedia dell'Arte and Shakespeare. Inspired by Ombelico's Commedia re-telling of the Greek Tragedy "Alcestis", professor Kimberly Dickstein's Shakespeare Studies program will experiment with adapting "Hamlet" into a Commedia play. In celebration of World Commedia Day, Ombelico Artistic Directors Brendon Gawel and John Bellomo will join the class for a feedback session and an introduction to Commedia performance.
